Basildon Under-140 Championship 2017 This tournament is designed to give our less experienced players the chance to compete against each other in a league format to claim the title of Under-140 Basildon chess champion. The winner receives a trophy.

It's an all-play-all event with everybody playing each other twice. Half a point for a draw, a full point for a win. The player top of the league will win. All games are graded.

If you are unable to play on the dates that have been selected for the rounds, please let me know in advance so we can rearrange. Anyone not giving any notice will automatically lose their match!

The 2017 under 140 championship ran from 9th March to 8th June 2016.

Congratulations to Tom Hedaux who won the competition, by virtue of scoring the most points from the games played. Some fixtures were not completed, so no points were accrued from these games.
